8 Park City November Events Not to Miss

You’d think November might be a kinda slow month here in Park City. It’s still officially off season until a few weeks in, Thanksgiving has people preoccupied with family affairs, and the weather can be hit or miss. But the reality is quite the contrary. Here are some local events to get you ready for ski season, Thanksgiving, and the holidays, plus a few other grab-bag happenings you won’t want to miss.

Ski Swap

Park City Ski Swap & Sale – November 3-5

Chances are, you need something this ski season. A new pair of skis? Better-fitting boots? That new jacket you’ve been lusting after? The good news is you don’t have to pay full price for any of it. Head to the Swap & Sale this weekend for the greatest deals in the area. For first dibs, head over to Basin Rec on Friday where the swap is held between 8pm until 1am. You can also access deals Saturday (10am-6pm) and Sunday (10am-2pm). It’s $10 to get in Friday, $5 on Saturday, and just $2 on Sunday. Kids 12 and under get in for free! And remember to ditch your coat—you won’t be able to bring it in for security reasons.

Art Elevated Holiday Art Market – November 3-5

Step up your gift game this year with some local handcrafted artwork and crafts from Park City area artists. This annual art market benefitting Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter is the place to find these unique gifts. Enjoy live entertainment as you peruse the offerings. The market will run from 4-8pm Friday, 10am-6pm Saturday, and 10am-2pm Sunday at the Swaner EcoCenter in Kimball Junction.

WASTED! – November 5

During the food-centric holiday season, we can all strive to waste less and be grateful for more. Learn about the issue of food waste and how we can address it with this new documentary from Anthony Bourdain, Mario Batali, and other household name chefs. WASTED! will screen at 6pm at the Park City Library and will be followed by a panel of locals working in the field of food, from nonprofit professionals to chefs.

Live PC Give PC

Live PC Give PC – November 10

Since Thanksgiving defines November, it follows that giving thanks ought to be the name of the game, too. November 10 is the best opportunity to support all the good work happening in Park City. On this annual day of local giving sponsored by the Park City Community Foundation, we pledge our support to nonprofits hard at work to support those in need and improve our home. Make a donation to your favorite local organization on livepcgivepc.org, then head to High West to celebrate all this altruism come evening.

Navajo rug show

Adopt-A-Native-Elder Annual Navajo Rug Show and Sale – November 10-12

For nearly three decades, this event has helped support local Elders and spread awareness about Navajo culture. Weavers create rugs just for this event in the Teec Nos Pos style (read: highly intricate) and sell them alongside jewelry and other crafts. The event takes place from 6-10pm in the Snow Park Lodge of Deer Valley. Admission and details vary from day-to-day. On Friday evening, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and entertainment from 7-8pm and a live auction from 8-9pm. On Saturday and Sunday, take in weaving demonstrations, traditional dancing, and a pow wow.
